"Throughout
history, the greatness and magnificence of world civilizations
is clearly reflected in the degree of sophistication of their
fine arts.
"In Mesoamerica each
culture developed harmoniously, showing a complexity and richness
that to this day is impossible to understand truly and completely,
leaving us only to sit back and admire the beauty and mystery.
"One of these ancient
and constantly changing cultural traditions, ever evolving from
it's roots, is that of the Chichimeca Aztec Dance. For us, Kalpully
Kuahucihuatl is a natural, conscious and dignified form of integrating
our ancestral traditions, free and wise, with the thoughts, actions
and above all, the hearts of the children and youths that come into
contact with it.
"The Dance is the link
-- the bond between ourselves and our roots is the movement of energy
through our bodies that connects earth and sky in an eternal circle.
"We wish to share our
cultural tradition and friendship with all who desire to become
acquainted with and respect it, seeking to make universal our knowledge
as a contribution to the Global Culture of the earth."
